Before the lavender fields became a tourist attraction, there was only one lavender field in Furano. However, as the beauty of the lavender fields began to be featured in calendars, magazines, and other media, the area of the lavender fields started to expand, sparking a lavender field craze across Japan. "Showa Shinzan"
Showa Shinzan is an active volcano located in Sobetsu Town, Usu District, Hokkaido, Japan. From December 1943 to September 1945, the area around Showa Shinzan experienced multiple earthquakes. In June 1944, a fissure appeared in the ground, and the surrounding wheat fields and pine forests began to rise, forming Showa Shinzan overnight. The volcano stands at 398 meters tall, with its semi-circular lava tower appearing in a brownish color. Due to the fact that the land around Showa Shinzan was purchased by the local postmaster, Masao Mitsumatsu, it is one of the rare volcanoes in the world located on private land. At the base of the mountain is the Masao Mitsumatsu Memorial Hall.

"Bear Park"
The park is home to around 100 brown bears, each about 2 meters in length. Visitors can purchase apple-flavored cookies to feed the bears, allowing for an up-close and personal interaction with these majestic creatures.
